Suri, (also spelt as Siuri), (Bengali: সিউড়ি), is the headquarters of Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal, India.
Suri is located at 23°55′00″N 87°32′00″E / 23.9167°N 87.5333°E / 23.9167; 87.5333.[1] It has an average elevation of 56 metres (187 feet). Tilpara barrage on Mayurakshi river is located 7 km north-east of Siuri.
Suri I block consists of the following gram panchayats: Alunda, Karidhya, Mallickpur, Tilpara, Bhurkuna, Khatanga, and Nagari.[2][3]
Suri-II block consists of the following gram panchayats: Abinashpur, Domdama, Koma, Banshanka, Kendua, and Purandarpur.[2][4]
