Murshidabad

The Murshidabad district is located in West Bengal. It is a historical place . It had a population of 36,894 in 2001. Presently it covers an area of 5,341sq.km. The industries of this district comprises of agriculture and making cotton and silk textiles.

Murshidabad is a historical place. It was the capital of Bengal Nawabs for a long time. The most famous historical building is the Hazar Duari Palace. The Moti Jhill and the Muradbagh Palace are also worth visiting.
