East-khasi-hills



The East Khasi Hills covers an area of 2,748 sq. km. and lies between 25° 07" and 25° 41" North Latitudes and 91° 21" and 92° 09" East Longitudes. The district has its headquarter in Shillong and is home to 23, 06,069 people as per the 2001 census.

Agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, weaving, handicrafts, sericulture and cottage industries makes up the economic scenario of East Khasi Hills.
