The district of Champhai is situated at a distance of 194km. from Aizawl. It occupies an area of 3185.83 sq.km. in the north-eastern state of Mizoram, and share international boundary with Myanmar.

The fertile land of Champhai boasts of being the 'Fruit Bowl' and 'Rice Bowl' of Mizoram. Orchards, Vineyards and recently Kiwi plantations are popular sources of economy.
