Bijnor



Bijnor District is situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It covers an area of 4,049 sq. km, according to the census of 1991.

The district has a total population of 2454.52 thousand as registered in the 1991 census.

Along with some small scale industries the district's economy rests on agriculture. The chief agricultural products are food grains, potato, tilhan and cane.

Bijnor exhibits a number of places which are of historic importance. Some of these are Vidur Kuti, Kanva Ashram, Daranagar, Ganj, Jahanabad, Sita's Temple, Mandawas Ka Mahal and Sena Ka Dawar.
