Mokokchung
Mokokchung is one of the important districts that are located in the state of Nagaland in India. The main inhabitants of this district belong to the Ao Naga ethnic group.
The total area of the district of Mokokchung is 1,615 square kms. The Mokokchung district is located at 25.56 Degrees North latitude and between 93.53 and 94.53 Degrees East longitudes. This district is bordered by Wokha in the west, Assam in the north, Zunheboto in the south and Tuensang in the east.
Mokokchung, one of the noted district is endowed with fascinating natural beauty as has as many as six lofty mountain ranges. These ranges are more or less parallel to each other and are situated either in north-east or in south-west direction.
The major mountain ranges of Mokokchung in Nagaland are given below:

* Changkikong Range
* Langpangkong Range
* Japukong Range
* Asetkong Range
* Tzurangkong Range
In between these ranges, there are a number of gorges and small valleys. A couple of streams flow through these valleys and gorges. The district has two valleys called Tuli and Changki. Both these valleys are located in the western part of the district close to the plain regions of the district of Sibsagar in Assam.
Agriculture is a major part of the economy of the district of Mokokchung. A variety of crops are cultivated in this part of Nagaland. Some of the most important crops of this place are rice, maize, tuber, soy beans, Naga dal, mustard and pea. The main cash crops that are grown in this place are orange and tea.
